The warm spices in the beef pair perfectly with a our sticky Honey BBQ glaze that caramelises on the grill. The result is juicy, charred skewer with a sweet-smoky finish - perfect served with flatbread, fresh salad, and with Godi La Vita Yogurt Sauce.
| Ingredients | Serves 4-6 |
| 500g | Minced beef |
| 2 | Small brown onions, finely grated |
| 1 jar | Godi Honey BBQ Sauce |
| 1/2 cup | Fresh parsley, finely chopped |
| 1 pinch | Cumin, ground |
| 1 | Egg yolk |
| 1 tsp | Paprika |
| 1 tsp | Sea salt |
| 1 tsp | Black pepper |
| 2 tbsp | Olive oil |
| 2 tbsp | Breadcrumbs (optional) |
| For Serving |
| Warm flatbread |
| GLV Yogurt Sauce |
| Green Mediterranean tomato and cucumber salad |
Method
1. Prepare the Beef Skewers mixture
In a large bowl combine minced beef, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, yolk, paprika, GLV Honey BBQ sauce, salt, pepper, olive oil and breadcrumbs. Mix until evenly combined.
2. Shape
Divide mixture into 8–10 portions and shape into oval logs around skewers or into small sausage shapes.

3. Rest
Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes so the mixture hold their shape when cooking.
4. Grill
Heat the broiler, BBQ or pan over medium-high heat.
Cook the skewers for 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally until browned.
5. Glaze
During the final 2 minutes of cooking, brush the skewers generously with the GLV Honey BBQ sauce. Turn once or twice so the sauce caramelises and becomes sticky.
6. Serve
Serve hot on a Green Leaves salad with GLV Yogurt sauce, or fill up a flatbread.
Pro Tips
✓ Glaze at the end: BBQ sauce contains sugar and can burn if added too early.
✓ Char equals flavour: A grill or BBQ gives the best caramelisation.
✓ Add freshness: Lemon, herbs and yogurt balance the sweetness of the BBQ sauce.
